The quality of fish depends on how it handles icing and chilling operation inside the fishing boat and quick freezing and cold storage is an excellent way of doing this. Unlike the small vessel, the larger one can include the modern technology such as blast freezer and some preliminary processing facilities by passing through sorting and washing devices. Blast freezer are used for quick freezing of fish where cold air is circulated inside a chamber and it can preserve the fish for longer period which exceeds the scope of the fish preservation of offshore boats in Sri Lanka. The fish which have been frozen at sea are of very good quality and the fishing vessels can remain at the fishing grounds until the hold is full.
Mechanized hauling
Mechanized hauling devices such as trawl winch is installed on deck in larger fishing vessels to control the towing wires and store them when not in use. This is due to its proven stability and easy control, allows maximum economy and higher yield of the fishing time.
The workshop is approved by Germanischer Lloyd which is the world’s largest ship and offshore classification society. Our production facility could comfortably accommodate a considerably expanded workforce which we would not hesitate to exploit should the need arise. It is a fully-integrated metal-working and repair facility, providing welding services, fabrication services, general repair services, and on-site welding services. Our premises are large and our team is highly skilled, enabling us to carry out a wide range of projects for both business and private customers.
